"We hired Jessamyn and Andrew of Small Circle Studio to photograph our family on the occasion of our daughter's first birthday.  We had hoped to have photos taken before then, but as some can surely attest, little goes according to plan during a child's first year on Earth.  We finally got our act together in time for her first birthday, and were excited to work with Jess and Andrew, who came highly recommended by a mutual friend.

The results were exactly as we had hoped.  Jessamyn and Andrew were incredibly easy to work with, and made the experience a lot of fun.  Everything was done in an extremely comfortable manner - they showed up ahead of our scheduled time to set up their lights and equipment in our back yard (the scene of the shoot), and were completely ready to go right on time.  The shoot itself did not even feel like a photoshoot - basically, my fiancé and I simply played with our daughter as we normally would, and occasionally, Jessamyn and Andrew would give some easy-to-follow instruction or another to capture a particular moment.

The shoot lasted about an hour, and Jessamyn and Andrew were efficient and respectful, and worked well together.  The finished product is beautiful, and worth every penny.  My fiancé handled the ordering, but I believe that there is a charge for the shoot itself, and then again for purchasing the individual images.  We have used them on our holiday cards, as gifts to the grandparents, and kept some for ourselves - the photos are absolutely gorgeous, and not only were Jessamyn and Andrew able to get our daughter to sit still, she is happy and smiling in every photo.  In fact, we are expecting again in April, and are excited to bring Small Circle back to capture our newest addition!"

"We can't thank Jessamyn and Andrew enough for their commitment to capturing every moment of our wedding day.  What stands out the most about the two of them is their sincerity, kindness and warmth; they work from the heart, and it shows in the product.  We asked a lot more of them than most probably ask of their wedding photographers, yet they were always thoughtful, professional and dedicated to the task.  We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous, cloudless day for a beach ceremony, but it was also very hot.  Jessamyn and Andrew worked tirelessly in the heat, donning wadders to take shots from the water and then traveling an hour into the city and boarding a boat for our reception.  They were both extremely flexible, adding unplanned shots when we had a little extra time and listening to our own ideas and requests throughout.  They brought experience and creativity and were able to not only take beautiful shots but to also capture real emotion within them.  Our pictures turned out spectacularly and many are now decorating the walls of our home.  It was a beautiful day and Andrew and Jessamyn did a remarkable job in immortalizing it for us.  We couldn't have asked for more."
